Does your group of gals love tasty wine, great restaurants, and fun outdoor activities? Upstate New York offers fantastic wineries, scenic gorges, beautiful lakes, great restaurants, and more. To help you start planning a Finger Lakes bachelorette party, we picked out some of our favorite spots.
Finger Lakes Bachelorette Party Daytime Activities:
There is so much to see when visiting the Finger Lakes. To fit in a hike, scenic views and swimming, head to Buttermilk Falls. You and the gals can sunbathe and swim at the base of a massive waterfall. Throw on your sneakers and climb the trail to get in an awesome workout while enjoying the scenery. It won’t take long to figure out why everyone says “Ithaca is Gorges.”
One of our favorite Finger Lakes bachelorette party activities is a wine tour. Your group can do tastings at the fantastic wineries along Cayuga, Keuka, Seneca, and Canandaigua Lakes. Choose from some of the best wineries in the region and see why their Rieslings and other wines have earned so many awards. Be sure to visit the websites in advance to see which wineries require appointments for large groups.
Prefer to spend the day with your girls getting a glam new look? Miel Beauty Bar is our favorite spot for a fabulous makeover. They can easily accommodate groups and offer professional makeup application, eyelash extensions, facials and more. Be sure to inquire about their Boudoir Parties for bachelorette events!
Finger Lakes Bachelorette Party Evening Activities:
At night enjoy dinner with the gals while taking in a beautiful view. The Switzerland Inn offers outdoor dining right on Keuka Lake and a delicious menu. On the weekends they also have a lively bar scene and a DJ plays on Saturday nights. For views of Seneca Lake, check out Dano’s. This fantastic restaurant combines authentic Viennese-inspired cooking with the award winning wines from the Finger Lakes region.
If your bachelorette group wants to dine closer to the bar scene, book a table at Madeline’s. Conveniently located downtown on The Commons, you can easily walk to multiple bars after dinner. For a fun dinner spot in Collegetown, make a reservation at Plum Tree. With tasty Japanese fare, fresh sushi rolls and lots of sake bombs to go around, it’s a great spot to kick-off the bachelorette party festivities!
After dinner, take the bride out for drinks. The Downtown Commons area in Ithaca offers plenty of bars within walking distance to one another. We love Silky Jones, Lot 10 Bar and Lounge, and The Ithaca Ale House. In Collegetown, check out Rulloff’s and Dunbar’s to relive your college days.
